Often serving as “second chair” to adjusters in the field but sometimes handling low-complexity claims on their own, claims associates are licensed adjusters who work in an office environment. Claims associates may spend many hours per day on the phone with customers and field adjusters, but they also spend a great deal of time evaluating information, processing documents, entering data, and approving subrogation and reimbursement claims within authorized limits. Effective claims associates thrive in a fast-paced team environment and frequently work the same hours as their counterparts in the field: sometimes up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Claims associates work either in an office or remotely from home, depending on the client. Because assignments vary based on demand, RENFROE cannot guarantee remote opportunities for claims associates.
