Get Licensed
One of the most common questions we hear is, “where do I begin?” The first step is to obtain what is called a home state license. If you are in a non-licensing state, designate a home state and follow their licensing procedure. You will not be able to deploy without one.
After you acquire your Home State License, we recommend obtaining other licenses to qualify for additional deployment opportunities. For field assignments, we suggest you begin with Texas, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New York licenses. For centralized assignments, we recommend beginning with Texas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Arizona, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, and Hawaii licenses. Please note: if you have a Florida adjuster license, you must also have an active Florida self-appointment to maintain compliance.
Get Certified
After you are licensed, it is vital to get carrier certified. RENFROE hosts multiple certification events each year. You can find upcoming events in our career development calendar within the Employee Portal. Additionally, adding a rope and harness certification is a milestone step and will qualify you for a far greater number of property field deployments. And finally, if you are bilingual in Spanish and English, we highly suggest getting a Spanish proficiency certification.

Update Your Profile
As you acquire additional licenses and certifications, we suggest frequently updating your profile in our Employee Portal. Each month, we require that you update your availability status, and we recommend that you log any outside experience and adjust your contact information if necessary.
